It is further suggested from the evidence I referred to above that the 1984 meeting of the Secret Brotherhood of the Illuminati took place on the third anniversary of the meeting in Switzerland that had been called to 'reconstitute and consolidate the manifestation of the Order of the Temple in modern times':

There is general agreement in esoteric circles that the first impulse for the resurgence to the Order of the Temple was given in 1952, when a group of genuine representatives of the Order of the Temple held a commemorative meeting on June 12, in the Castle of Arginy, the place where Hugues de Payns and his comrades first took their vows in 1118.
